Kingsman sequel continues to acquire an all-star cast.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ith the smashing success that Kingsman: The Secret Service displayed at the box office, it comes as no surprise that there would be a sequel to the spy-thriller. Director Matthew Vaughn is returning once again and according to Taron Edgerton (Eggsy) the sequel will take place across the pond in the United States. While no further details regarding the movie’s plot have been given away, we now know that the incredibly talented actress Julianne Moore (The Hunger Games, Still Alice) has joined the cast!
No details have been revealed for Julianne Moore’s role as the villain or what her character’s purpose is in the sequel. With Samuel L. Jackson no longer being a the main antagonist, Matthew Vaughn was certainly hard pressed to find another actor/actress that could fill in the spot left behind by him. Unfortunately, Colin Firth will not return for the sequel due to his character meeting an untimely death in the first film. There were talks of bringing back Colin Firth for the sequel by means of him playing the role his original character’s twin, but this idea was discarded according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Kingsman sequel is scheduled to begin filming this upcoming May!
