Four down, one to go!

Wow. Another Ranger has been cast this week for the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot film. Say hello to RJ Cyler, the new Blue Ranger.

As with the previously cast Rangers, this news was announced via the official Twitter and Instagram for the film.

Cyler, a 20-year-old Florida native, is a relatively unknown actor like his fellow cast mates, but he recently appeared in the acclaimed Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, where he portrayed the titular Earl.

The original Blue Ranger of the Mighty Morphin series, which this reboot will be inspired by, was Billy Cranston, portrayed David Yost.

Cue the theme song.

Cranston was known as the “brains” of the original Power Rangers team, often making new gadgets or finding solutions to Rita Repulsa’s schemes (think Donatello if you grew up with TMNT).

The cast of the reboot film is quickly growing, as Cyler joins the Pink Ranger Naomi Scott, Red Ranger Dacre Montgomery, and Black Ranger Ludi Lin.

The only Ranger left to be cast is the Yellow Ranger, and at this rate, it won’t be long now.

Power Rangers mighty morphs into theaters on January 13, 2017.
