[toggler title=”TL;DR” ]Even with True Detective’s strong ratings and viewer base, many fans are frustrated with the show’s second season. A comedian by the name of Jason Saenz captured this feeling by posting a photo to a light pole in New York City that said, “Lost: Interest,” it says, with pictures of the series’ two stars, Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell. “If you have any info as to WTF is happening this season, please call: 910-337-2369.”[/toggler]

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]rue Detective‘s first season started off strong and before the show’s season finale aired it had collected a strong fan base. The show awards including Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design, Writers Guild of America Award for Television: New Series, and British Academy Television International Award to name a few. “Lost: Interest,” it says, with pictures of the series’ two stars, Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell. “If you have any info as to WTF is happening this season, please call: 910-337-2369.”

The photo was posted to Instagram and it went viral within a few hours. The poster was created by New York-based comedian Jason Saenz and in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter he said, “This definitely hit a chord. I think a lot of people are disappointed with this season.”

The sign is a part of Jason Saenz’s Instagram project called #SaenzSigns. The sign was posted to a lamp-post in New York’s Chelsea’s 13th Street and Eighth Avenue. As for the phone number, according to Jason Saenz, it “goes to a dead line, which is symbolic of the current state of the show.”

So how does Jason Saenz feel about the show overall?

“I was such a fan of the first season. I want this season to be just as good, too. I created this sign to voice my frustration in a silly way. I had no idea people would latch on to it so quickly.”

How do you feel about this season of True Detective? Does Jason Saenz sign sum it all perfectly? Let us know in the comments below!

True Detective only has two episode before the season finale on August 9th.
