It appears that James Gordon will have a better chance at love come season two of Gotham.
[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]r. Leslie Thompkins (Baccarin) was introduced last season on FOX’s Batman precursor as a love interest for Gordon. It was unclear as to if she would be returning in the role for season two, but now it’s official. Morena Baccarin has indeed been added to the cast as a series regular.

Baccarin is no newbie when it comes to acting in comic book related material. Early in her career she voiced Black Canary in a Justice League animated series as well as Cheetah and Talia al Ghul in various unrelated Batman projects. She also played Gideon on The CW’s The Flash and is set to play Vanessa Carlysle/Copycat in the upcoming Deadpool movie.
Not only is she gorgeous, but she also seems to know comics. Sounds like the Gotham team picked up a real winner.
Production on Gotham’s second season starts on June 22 at the Brooklyn Navy Yards.
