[dropcap size=small]X[/dropcap]men Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has posted a short video to his Twitter which linked to his Instagram showing the world the first look at Nightcrawler, portrayed by Kodi Smit-McPhee. This is the first time Nightcrawler will be featured in an X-Men since the second movie in the series X2: X-Men United.
Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) was introduced to the X-Men comics in 1975. He possesses the powers of teleportation, superhuman agility, and adhesive hands and feet. Apocalypse features a much younger Nightcrawler then was seen in X2 because the film takes place in the 1980s, 10 years after the events of Days of Future Past.
X-Men: Apocalypse is directed Bryan Singer & will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Evan Peters, Oscar Isaac, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Rose Byrne, Ian McKellen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Hardy, Lana Condor & Olivia Munn. The film is set to release on May 27th, 2016.
