It has been 6 years since the last installment in the Star Ocean series, Star Ocean: Last Hope. Details published by Famitsu magazine, then translated by Gematsu reveals real-time battles, events which branch the narrative, and backstories of the main characters and others.

Star Ocean 5 is going to be released for Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, although no official release date has been announced.
