Dragon Ball Z is hitting the big screen this summer!
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t’s an exciting day for Dragon Ball Z fans as FUNimation Entertainment has just announced that an English dub of the series’ nineteenth entry, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, will be hitting U.S. theaters this summer.
The film, based around the return of Dragon Ball Z’s famous antagonist Frieza, is a direct sequel to 2014’s Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods which grossed a whopping $2.5 million in the American box offices over the course of one week. Due to the previous movie’s success, we can expect to see higher box office sales and, hopefully, more theatrical events. For those of you who love Dragon Ball Z and live under a rock, here’s the latest trailer:
If that doesn’t make you want to get up and fight with your siblings, then I have no idea what will.

If you’re in the LA area, you’re in for a real treat. Resurrection ‘F”s world premiere will be taking place at the Egyptian Theatre, on April 11th, for a limited number of fans. Tickets for the red carpeted event went on sale today, but it appears they have already sold out. The premiere’s format will be Japanese, with English subtitles, only to be followed by an English dubbed release this coming summer. While there are no announced dates, as of yet, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
