[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]t this point in time, it’s still unclear exactly what Sony and Marvel Studios have in store for Spider-Man, but that hasn’t stopped rumors from plaguing the internet. Here’s what we know (or what we’ve heard) so far:
Dylan O’Brien (left) and Logan Lerman (right) have emerged as potential front-runners to play the new Spider-Man.
Both Dylan O’Brien’s (The Maze Runner, MTV’s Teen Wolf) and Logan Lerman’s (Percy Jackson) names have popped up to play the next Spider-Man, but it’s unclear if they’ve been approached by any studio executives at this time. It has been reported by The Daily Beast, that Andrew Garfield is out as Spider-Man, turning down the role to return as the web-slinger. Though Garfield seemed to fit the role quite well (both as Peter Parker and Spider-Man) it does make a bit of sense to see him recast, as it has also been reported that Parker will eventually be sent back to high school in an (another) apparent reboot.
Keep in mind, whoever eventually lands the role of Spidey, will have to hold is own and show some degree of star power, as he will join alongside superstars Robert Downey Jr. Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans.
Who would you like to see as the next Spider-Man?
