[dropcap size=small]E[/dropcap]ver wonder what Hugh Jackman would be like as a famous pirate? Well, now you can see for yourself in the first official trailer of Pan.
The film marks the first time we can remember ever seeing a backstory and origin of the legendary orphan boy who chooses never to grow beyond pre-pubescent stages (must be nice to avoid all of the awkwardness of voice crackles and acne).
Kidnapped from an orphanage at a relatively young age, Peter is brought to Neverland by the infamous Black Beard (Wolverine). While there, the trailer shows us interesting facts we have always wondered, like “where did Peter’s last name of ‘Pan‘ come from?” (an actual ordinary house pan) and what was “Captain Hook like as a teenage heartthrob?” Never wondered these things? Huh, guess we stand alone on this one.
The film promises to provide an untold story on the timeless legend of Peter and the Lost Boys, in addition to showing us what Captain James Hook was like as a late teenager. From what the trailer shows, it appears that Peter and Hook were actually close friends in the latter’s youth.
