Updates include Microsoft’s own version of Twitch!
[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]icrosoft’s Xbox One just had their spring update that will include big changes. The March update surrounds a redesigned interface to improve overall speed. Finding groups online will be easier to do with the update. The Guide will be easier to maneuver and use recent apps, controlling background music and recording gameplay. Other adjustments that were made include a new achievement tracker and a Cortana rework that allows the voice assistant to overlay messages and notifications, instead of interrupt the gameplay.
The one downside to the update is that the Snap feature will disappear. Although you will notice the feature gone, not many people will be missing it.
But the best part of the update, for some gamers, will be the built-in Beam stream that will allow players to broadcast their gameplay using Microsoft’s own streaming service. That way, players won’t have to open Twitch or Youtube in order to broadcast their gameplay. Other features include Copilot feature that also splits controls between controllers to make gameplay more accessible and Blu-Ray player bit-stream support. Parents are able to set screen time for their kids through an interface.
All of these updates don’t make the Xbox One necessarily a new system, but these updates sure make it more appealing to have than before.
