Chris Pratt claims the final film in the trilogy will be the best one yet.

Chris Pratt has certainly raised our expectations for the next and final installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Speaking to ET Canada about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 the actor, who just finished up filming the untitled Avengers 4 film, didn’t go into too much detail but he certainly is excited for the film.

“Um, I know the story. It’s going to be freaking amazing. This is, very intentionally [and] essentially, the wrap-up of a trilogy, and so the first film, the second film, and the third film each are standalone films. But there’s an arc from the first to second to third that will wrap up through the film, and it’s imaginative, it’s big – it’s bigger, better, faster, stronger, funnier. It’s gonna be great, I’m so excited.”

Just where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is headed is uncertain and who knows what characters, both old and new, will continue to explore the Marvel Cosmic Universe. In a Facebook post last year, director James Gunn confirmed that he would be returning to write and direct the film, explaining that he would “conclude the story of this iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond.”

In addition, it appears that James Gunn “will be working side-by-side with Kevin Feige and the gang to help design where these stories go, and make sure the future of the Marvel Cosmic Universe is as special and authentic and magical as what we have created so far. I promise you, the fans, I’ll do it all with integrity and love and respect for the characters.”

With the outcome of Avengers 4 still uncertain, it remains to be seen if Peter Quill/Star-Lord will be reunited with Gamora or if Rocket will get his pseudo-son Groot back. With that said, you can’t help but feel hyped about what’s next for the Guardians and the Marvel Cosmic Universe. Who knows, maybe we’ll finally get a Howard the Duck film?

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
