Xander Cage is back to play xXx once again!
[dropcap size=small]V[/dropcap]in Diesel has been apart of plenty of sequels in his career, including The Fast and the Furious series getting an eighth movie to continue their franchise. Diesel will also be returning to play Riddick in Riddick 4. But an announcement has been made that Diesel will be returning to the ‘xXx’ franchise as Xander Cage for XXX 3 (which is rumored to be titled xXx: The Return of Xander Cage).
Diesel made the announcement of his return to the ‘XXX’ franchise on Instagram and filming for the movie will begin later this year. In January 2014, Diesel announced that the third script for xXx: The Return of Xander was nearly complete.
The previous movie, xXx: State of the Union, featured Ice Cube as Lt. Darius Stone, who was hired as the new xXx after Xander Cage was reportedly killed. The start of xXx 3 will most likely start off by telling us how Xander Cage faked his death. John D. Brancato and and Michael Ferris (Terminator Salvation: Surrogates) worked together to write the script for xXx 3.
There has been no other cast members announced for the movie and a director has yet to be picked for the movie. Although xXx: State of the Union was a good movie, it’s not the sequel that fans deserve and they will get that with Xander Cage returning to become xXx!
