A new trailer has just been revealed, featuring Mega Man as one of the many playable characters, in the upcoming Funko Fusion (yes, that Funko). The toy collector behind those POP! Vinyl figures has made a video game where you can play as Mega Man and many different characters across various IPs. At first, we thought this sounded kind of lame but the gameplay actually looks super fun. Take a look:
Funko Fusion is a third-person action game that brings together an eclectic mix of characters from across TV, movies, games, and comics. Players will explore handcrafted worlds inspired by iconic franchises such as Jurassic World, Back to the Future, JAWS, The Thing, Chucky, Battlestar Galactica, Hot Fuzz, The Umbrella Academy, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Masters of the Universe, Invincible, and many more. With over 60 unique playable characters, each brought to life in Funko Pop! form, fans can relive memorable moments and embark on a new adventure that ties these worlds together.
The game offers a variety of combat styles, including ranged and melee attacks, as well as puzzle-solving elements that require the use of characters’ special skills. Players can also craft gadgets and items to gain an advantage in battles or to unlock hidden areas within the game’s expansive worlds.
Funko Fusion is set to release on September 13 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players who preorder the game will receive a character pack themed around The Walking Dead, featuring Michonne and Rick Grimes. Additionally, the Steam version will include a free Team Fortress 2 character pack, adding the Scout, Heavy, Engineer, and Medic as playable characters.
Whether you’re a fan of action-packed adventures or simply love seeing your favorite characters come to life, Funko Fusion promises an experience full of humor, excitement, and a deep love for pop culture. With its latest trailer showcasing Mega Man and a roster of other iconic characters, the game continues to build anticipation ahead of its release.
Funko Fusion is a collaborative effort between Funko and 10:10 Games, bringing together the creative talents of both companies to deliver an action-adventure game with an authentic and irreverent twist and it looks like it may be a wild game. Between playing as one of your favorite characters running through the setting of John Carpenter’s The Thing or joining Omni-Man in the world of Invincible, this is one game we are going to keep a close eye on.
