The first trailer for the upcoming comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as two dads battling for dominance in the family.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he first trailer for Paramount’s lastest comedy staring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, Daddy’s Home, has been released.
The film centers around Ferrell, who plays a straightedge, normal suburban dad with an excellent credit score, whose life is turned upside down when his step-children’s biological badass of a father, Wahlberg, comes back into the picture and wants to retake the helm of his family.
Hilarity ensues as the two try and outdo each other in the eyes of the children. Wahlberg brings home a puppy, Ferrell retaliates with a pony on Christmas; the list of hijinks goes on and on. It is especially funny when Ferrell pegs a cheerleader in the head while attempting to make a half court shot at a basketball game.
Starring along side Wahlberg and Ferrell are Linda Cardellini, Thomas Haden Church, Paul Scheer, and Hannibal Buress. The film is directed by Sean Anders and John Morris and is written by Brian Burns.
This is the second movie where Ferrell and Wahlberg will be starring besides each other, the first being 2010’s The Other Guys, and it was absolutely hilarious. Although I believe this movie is more family oriented then The Other Guys was, I think it is still going to be on the same level of entertaining humor.
Daddy’s Home hit theaters on December 25th, 2015.
