Toei Animation and Crunchyroll Present One Piece Event at SDCC 2024

Toei Animation and Crunchyroll are joining forces at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 to offer fans a variety of One Piece experiences, including the highlight event, the One Piece 25th Anniversary: Symphonic Voyage. Specially produced for San Diego Comic-Con 2024, this live outdoor concert celebrates the 25th anniversary of Toei Animation’s globally popular series, One Piece. The event will be held at the iconic Rady Shell in Jacobs Park, featuring a performance by the San Diego Symphony. Admission is free with open seating on a first-come, first-served basis for all Comic-Con badge holders.

The concert will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 7:00 pm. The San Diego Symphony, with over 40 musicians, will take attendees on a 90-minute journey through emotional soundscapes and aerial pyrotechnics inspired by some of the most memorable moments from Eiichiro Oda’s epic series, One Piece.

From 5:00 PM until an hour after the concert, attendees can enjoy various activations that celebrate their favorite Straw Hat characters. Activities include the Gum-Gum Punch Challenge with Luffy, photo opportunities with Nami, and playing the piano with Brook.

Doors will open at 5:00 PM, and Comic-Con badge holders are welcome to start lining up at the Rady Shell beginning at 4:00 PM on Saturday. Attendees should look for Toei Animation and Crunchyroll team members and signage for directions to the general admission line.

  • 8:30 PM: Concert Ends
  • 9:30 PM: Venue Closes

Throughout the Comic-Con weekend from July 25 – 28, fans can visit the Toei Animation (#3635) and Crunchyroll (#4135) booths inside the San Diego Convention Center. Exclusive in-booth One Piece programming and merchandise will be available, including a DIM MAK X ONE PIECE pop-up shop (#3635) and a podcast stage (#4135). Fans can also explore pirate-themed displays inspired by various locations from the series, from Alabasta to Egghead Island and beyond.
