GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

In the new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy we see more of Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) backstory, and a bit more of what we can expect in the way of action from the latest Marvel effort. We also get to hear a lot more of Rocket Raccoon’s voice (Bradley Cooper). If you make sure not to blink, you’ll also hear a little bit of what Groot (Vin Diesel) can be expected to add to every conversation in the film.

Set deep in space, we are introduced to Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) a human outlaw, that has to join forces with an unlikely group of misfits in order to escape an intergalactic prison. Naming themselves the Guardians of the Galaxy, they are comprised of Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and Drax the Destroyer. They must work together to protect the universe by making sure that a mysterious orb stays out of the hands of the villainous Ronan the Accuser.

Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio Del Toro, Glenn Close, and John C. Reilly. Written by James Gunn and Nicole Perlman, and directed by James Gunn. In theaters August 1.

THE EXPENDABLES 3

The third installment in The Expendables series reunites the original badasses – Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews and introduces a stockpile of new faces – Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammar, Harrison Ford, Kellan Luts, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell.

Barney (Stallone) and the crew must take down Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), an original founding father of The Expendables, as he tries to put an end to the team for good. Barney must then recruit new members to combine new skills and old to successfully defeat Stonebanks. This promises to be an action-packed brawl between Hollywood’s most recognizable ass-kickers in the largest ensemble cast in the series.

The Expendables 3 stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Wesley Snipes, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammar, Harrison Ford, Kellan Luts, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell. PADDINGTON

This new trailer doesn’t really give us much to go on other than the fact that the beloved Peruvian bear from the children’s books will now be making his way to the big screen. It appears he’ll be getting himself into silly and sometimes gross situations, and from the looks of it he will be traveling to London.

Once arrived he is taken in by the Brown family and named after the station in which they found him. All looks well for Paddington until a sinister taxidermist makes additional plans him. Originally set to be voiced by Colin Firth, however, as of 6/16 he has since voluntarily dropped out of the project. Rumor has it that the studio had disagreements concerning how well his voice fit the title character. My vote as a replacement goes out to Morgan Freeman.

Paddington stars Nicole Kidman, Peter Capaldi, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Hugh Bonneville, and Matt Lucas. Written by Michael Bond and Paul King, and directed by Paul King. In theaters December 12.
