Tony Stark… you are not the father!

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]ron Man was recently featured heavily in the new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer. While this normally means that a character will have a lot of time screen time this will not be the case according to producer Eric Carroll.

In an interview with Screenrant, Carroll said that Iron Man will only be in “5 or 6 scenes”. This means that we may have already seen most of the scenes that will include Iron Man in the trailers.

While we won’t be able to see a lot of Tony Stark in the film, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland said that he will still play a large part in the film.

“I think we’re seeing the beginning of a sort of father-son relationship. I think Robert is more like a big brother than he is a father figure because he picks on him and he is down on him quite a lot. It’s a very different side of Stark than you’ve ever seen before.”

So while we may not see a lot Iron Man, he will still be a large part of the story. It will be interesting to see the evolution Iron Man’s and Spider-Man’s relationship in the movie.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 7.
