Stephen Strange is looking weary on set in Nepal.
While everyone is hyped for Captain America: Civil War, let’s not forget about the other MCU film coming in 2016.
Doctor Strange, starring Sherlock himself, Benedict Cumberbatch, has just begun filming, and fans have already started leaking set photos onto the web.
Twitter user Prayush Khadka has gone ahead leaked the first photo from the movie’s production, which reveals that shooting has commenced in Nepal.
Here we see a rather shaggy looking Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) to the left of the giant pole.
This photo has garnered speculation that this scene of the film will take place after Strange suffered a crippling hand injury in a car accident that ruined his career as a surgeon.
Looking for a cure, Strange travels to Nepal to seek out the Ancient One, who ends up granting Strange his cosmic powers, and granting him the title Sorcerer Supreme.
While that is all speculation, it’s a compelling case, considering the film will explore the origins of how Strange becomes a powerful hero, and ally to the Avengers.
Doctor Strange costars Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, as well as Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelson in unknown roles.
Doctor Strange comes to theaters on November 4, 2016.
