Marvel Studios’ Phase Four is jam-packed with all sorts of movies from sequels to new introductions to delving deep into the Multiverse (of Madness) which has us giddier than ever. The future looks crazy bright with fun cinematic adventures, especially involving Doctor Strange and his upcoming sequel film which is bound to be overflowing with easter eggs, cameos, and mind-blowing plot directives. Now, it seems we may even be introduced to the method in which the MCU plans to include at least one member, specifically the leader of the Uncanny X-Men.
Earlier today, rumors began to circulate that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will include the Illuminati, a group of superheroes that act as a sort of behind-the-scenes operatives that use their collective knowledge and abilities to manipulate the course of events. In the comics, this group includes the likes of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Professor X, and others but the live-screen adaptation these rumors are based on is allegedly to include Balder the Brave, Captain Carter, Monica Rambeau, Mordo, and Professor X.
The rumors, which came from inside scoopers ViewerAnon and Daniel RPK suggest that Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch will come face to face with Professor Xavier in some form or another. Whether it be in a vision (no pun intended) or a hostile interaction has yet to be confirmed but we have seen both suggested online.
Regardless of how they meet, Kris Tapley of Variety took to Twitter and shared a bunch of images without context to further substantiate these rumors, including a post with a pic of Wanda and a separate pic of Professor X.

While it is not made clear whether this version of Professor X would be McAvoy or Stewart, the only real evidence we have that supports these claims, which is more suggestive than concrete, is that Patrick Stewart himself took meetings with Marvel Studios back in 2020 where he allegedly met with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. About what is anyone’s guess but it should be pretty obvious to anyone familiar with the X-Men movies that they would really only meet about one thing and one thing only.
We do not know much about the Multiverse of Madness other than it is shaping off to alter the future of the MCU forever and that has us excited more than words can describe. Of course, keep in mind that nothing above has been confirmed so as always with rumors, we suggest taking the appropriate amount of salt until we know for certain (which may not be until we are in the theater come March 25, 2022, when the movie releases).
