The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toei Animation have locked in another round of their ONE PIECE partnership, and this time it goes down on Thursday, July 2, when the Dodgers host the San Diego Padres at 7:10 p.m. for what is officially being called ONE PIECE Night at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.

For the uninitiated, ONE PIECE is the animated adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga, which holds the title of best-selling manga of all time. The series has been running since its Japanese TV debut in 1999, meaning it has spent more than 25 years collecting fans across multiple generations and building out a franchise that now includes 15 feature films, a trading card game, a pile of video games, and enough licensed merchandise to fill the Going Merry twice over.
The event itself is not just a regular Tuesday night baseball experience with a Luffy flag stapled to it. Fans showing up to ONE PIECE Night get a pregame activation in the Centerfield Plaza, a ceremonial first pitch, and a postgame drone show featuring characters from the series performing aerial acrobatics in the California sky.
The first 40,000 ticketed fans through the gates also walk away with a stadium giveaway, which is the kind of incentive that turns a vague interest in attending into an alarm set for 6 a.m. to secure tickets.
Both sides have made it clear they consider this a successful ongoing collaboration, with Dodgers CMO Lon Rosen calling it “a seamless collaboration” that has cemented ONE PIECE Night as a must-attend event, and Toei Animation’s Lisa Yamatoya describing last year’s edition as one of the biggest ONE PIECE promotions of all of 2025. The goal for this year, apparently, is to top it.
