Set your sights on Sin City, Straw Hats! Toei Animation just announced that One Piece is heading back to Las Vegas in epic fashion—literally lighting up the skyline during Licensing Expo 2025.
From May 19–21, the One Piece crew will take over the Exosphere—the massive outer display of the Sphere in Las Vegas—with a jaw-dropping 90-second animated showcase. If that sounds familiar, it’s because this activation first debuted in June 2024, becoming the biggest One Piece display in the franchise’s history. And if you’ve seen the Sphere in person, you know they mean big. We’re talking 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide. Luffy’s rubber arms have never looked more massive.
This encore presentation isn’t just a flex—it’s part of Toei Animation’s continued push to grow One Piece as a global lifestyle brand. With everything from toys and games to sneakers, food, housewares, and full-on immersive attractions, One Piece is no longer just an anime—it’s a cultural empire.

“Toei’s bringing One Piece back to the Exosphere to show just how massive this franchise has become,” said Lisa Yamatoya, Senior Director and Head of Marketing at Toei Animation Inc. “Coming off last year’s global anniversary, the fan base is bigger than ever, and this kind of high-visibility moment just fuels the hype—and the demand for all things One Piece.”
During Licensing Expo 2025, Toei will also be on the ground at booth #C196 at Mandalay Bay, meeting with potential partners to expand the One Piece brand even further.
In case you need a refresher: One Piece is the legendary shonen adventure from manga mastermind Eiichiro Oda, following the rubber-powered pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew as they search for the ultimate treasure, the One Piece. Since its anime debut in 1999, it’s become a multigenerational juggernaut with 15 feature films, a trading card game, tons of merch, and more games than you can shake a Gum-Gum Pistol at.
And if you’re keeping up with the anime, new episodes from the Egghead Island Arc are currently dropping every weekend via simulcast—so yes, the hype is alive and well.
Whether you’re in Vegas or watching from afar, keep an eye on the Sphere and raise a toast of sake (or cola, if you’re more of a Franky fan). One Piece isn’t slowing down—and we’re here for every second of it.
