We can all be heroes this April.
[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]unimation Entertainment revealed that it has acquired the rights to the highly anticipated second season of My Hero Academia. For the first time, the episodes will be available to stream simultaneously in Japan, U.S., Canada, U.K. and Ireland on Saturday, April 1, 2017.
Funimation will present the first six episodes of both the English-subtitled simulcast and English SimulDub™ on the same day they are broadcast in Japan. Simulcast and SimulDub episodes will both be available on FunimationNow. Ahead of the premiere, a special Season 1 recap episode of “My Hero Academia” will premiere in Japan on Saturday, March 25.
As Funimation states above, both the subbed and dubbed versions of the first six episodes of the second season will premiere the same day as Japan, and if waiting it out until April just seems too hard to bear, a special season 1 recap episode will debut on March 25.
The first season of My Hero Academia (or Boku no Hero Academia) was arguably one of the best anime series to come out last year. Packed full of uplifting moments, epic fight sequences, a badass soundtrack, and a whole host of interesting characters, you’d be hard-pressed to find a recent anime more worthy of your time.
