‘Mighty No. 9’ Gameplay Will Quench Your Thirst for ‘Mega Man’

[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap] little more than one year ago, Keiji Inafune announced at PAX 2013 that he would be making his return to developing after parting ways with Capcom and the Mega Man series. The announcement included Inafune saying he would be developing a side scroller action game and he would be launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise $900,000 for development of the game. If you remember, the Kickstarter raised an astounding $3.4 million before its final bell rang.

While the title of the project is, in fact, NOT Mega Man, it feels, looks, and plays like the classic side scroller. It also has fantastic art design and movement. Check out the gameplay below to get those nostalgic hearts pumping. According to posts on Mighty No. 9‘s website, the game will be released sometime in 2015.
