Marvel Studios has officially released the highly anticipated first teaser trailer for “Captain America: Brave New World,” the fourth film in the iconic series. Set for a February 14, 2025 release, this installment marks a significant shift as Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson steps into the titular role previously held by Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers.

Following the events of the 2021 miniseries “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” where Wilson struggled with the weight of his new responsibility, “Captain America: Brave New World” sees him confronting a conspiracy targeting President Thaddeus Ross. The film, evoking the action-packed, espionage tone of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” features Giancarlo Esposito in a mysterious new role and confirms the return of The Leader. Notably, the trailer teases the appearance of Red Hulk, who is widely speculated to be (and obviously is) President Ross himself, aligning with the comic book storyline.

The film’s release comes amidst rumors of story rewrites and reshoots, including discussions about the inclusion of Sabra, an Israeli superhero, against the backdrop of the current Israel/Gaza conflict. Despite these controversies, the trailer has been met with a positive response, generating excitement for what’s to come.

“Captain America: Brave New World” is the next Marvel film following “Deadpool and Wolverine,” which hits theaters this July. As Marvel Studios prepares to promote the film further, fans can expect more insights and reveals leading up to the February release.

Coming February 14, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford.
