He doesn’t have any makeup on yet, but he is getting closer to the part.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]hor: Ragnarok may not be due to hit theaters for a little over a year but that doesn’t mean that the production hasn’t started yet. In a recent tweet from Karl Urban, the actor released a photo showing off his freshly shaved head and a well-trimmed beard for his role as the Asgardian Skurge. Check out the tweeted photo below!
For those of you who haven’t read the comics, the Asgardian known as Skurge goes by the name of The Executioner and has a history of allying with Loki in order to make Thor’s life a living Hel (pun intended). Eventually, Skurge changes sides and ends up helping Thor out in the long run to save countless souls.
As of right now, Karl Urban definitely doesn’t look like the character Skurge from the comics but Marvel did a fairly good job of dressing up Paul Bettany as the Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War so you can rest assured that he will look the part when Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters in November of 2017.
