Rowan sticks to his Ghostbusters’ roots with some horror added to him.
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]ony’s veil of secrecy surrounding the third Ghostbusters film has been surprisingly well done. Aside from some photos involving the cast members Sony has been able to keep fans impatiently waiting for more details to surface. Unfortunately, Sony, like most companies, will jump at any chance to make a profit off of its own work. Introducing Rowan, the main villain in Ghostbusters.

To be fair, Rowan is an exact replica of the iconic Ghostbusters’ logo, but in real life, so this really isn’t a major surprise for Ghostbusters fans. The only difference between the logo and Rowan is that he has a red bow tie, some Great White Shark-styled teeth, and Mel Gibson’s angry eyebrows. Sony must have decided that the risk of confirming the main villain was worth however much money they would make off of fans purchasing the toy figure at the Toy Fair.
The first trailer for Ghostbusters will drop on March 3rd, and the film will be released in theaters on July 15th.
