Doctor Strange will be the second Phase Three film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following Captain America: Civil War. The movie will explore the origins of Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), a crippled surgeon who becomes the Sorcerer Supreme, Earth’s guardian against magical threats from other dimensions.
Scott Derrickson (Sinister) will direct the film, and it will costars Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, and Rachel McAdams as an unknown character, as well as Mads Mikkelsen in a villainous role.
It’s safe to say Marvel and Cumberbatch have nailed the look of Strange, as his resemblance to his comic book counterpart is uncanny.
Doctor Strange comes to theaters on November 4, 2016.
