Fast and Furious 8 to film in Iceland

[dropcap=small]F[/dropcap]ast and Furious 8 is set to be partially filmed in Iceland and mayor of Akranes, Regína Ásvaldsdóttir, has confirmed that the next installment in the Fast and Furious franchise will be shot in Akranes, Iceland. She also stated that the residents are excited for the film to be filmed there. This is not the first time Akranes has been a set for filming. The Netflix original show Sense8 also used the town’s hospital as a set. The shootings will mostly take place in the harbor and a place called the Cement Fields. There are also reports that the crew is set to film the biggest explosion ever in Iceland.
