The latest trailer for DOOM shows off guts, guns and gore.

[dropcap size=small]L[/dropcap]ast year Bethesda announced that they wouldn’t be continuing the DOOM storyline and would be remaking the very first game of the series. Of course, many fans weren’t necessarily happy with the news but it seems Bethesda is pulling out all of the guns for their DOOM revival. Handing over the reigns to Tron: Legacy and Oblivion director Joe Kosinski, Joe Kosinski went to work and you can’t help but be impressed with the trailer.

Director Joe Kosinski chose Refused’s song “New Noise” and he couldn’t have picked a better song that ecompasses anarchy and mayhem. While the trailer is live-action, it would seem that Bethesda is hinting at some of the game’s mechanic that you’ll be able to pull off like badass executions. The trailer was released on the same day that lucky gamers could participate in the closed beta that runs from March 31st to April 3rd. For information about the closed beta you can check out DOOM‘s website here.

DOOM will be released on May 13th.
