“If that’s true, if you don’t know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly, Thor.”
Walter White, aka Heisenberg, aka The One who Knocks, aka Bryan Cranston has been a busy man post Breaking Bad. Besides his role in Godzilla, the acclaimed actor will star in the upcoming biopic Trumbo; will lend his voice to Kung Fu Panda 3, and portray President Johnson in HBO’s All the Way.
But what role does Cranston really want?
An MCU villain.
In an interview with Metro to promote Trumbo, the actor revealed his villainous ambitions.
“You know what I’d like to do? I’d like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic,” Cranston explained.
Now before you start campaigning for Cranston to play Norman Osborn in the Spider-Man reboot, or Galactus in Avengers 5, the actor added that he doesn’t want to play an existing villain, rather he would like to “create one from scratch.”
“I don’t know what I would do, but it would be nasty,” Cranston added.
If I were Kevin Feige, I would be calling Cranston’s agent ASAP. Who cares if Marvel would have to create a new character, if a four-time Emmy winning actor who has already proven himself a master at portraying a villainous character wants to be in your films, you let him, darn it.
Bryan Cranston is a busy man, but let’s hope he has time to pursue his dreams of portraying a Marvel baddie. If anyone can give Tom Hiddleston’s Loki a run for his money, it’s Mr. White.
