Bill Murray will return to Ghostbusters 26 years after his last appearance in the franchise.
[dropcap size=small]G[/dropcap]hostbusters legend Bill Murray, who played Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989), was always unwilling to return for a third installment after the second film was poorly received in comparison to the first.
But Murray ain’t afraid of no reboot. THR has confirmed that after 26 Ghostbusters-less years, Murray will make an appearance in Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters film. Details of his cameo are unknown, but Murray will join Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon in next year’s reboot.
Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 22nd, 2016.
