At this point, you can expect Batgirl to be released in theaters before The Batman is even finished.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t seems that Warner Bros. wishes to start production on Batgirl as soon as possible. The studio already has Joss Whedon lined up to direct the film and it now appears that the role of Batgirl has already been filled. While not officially confirmed by Warner Bros. all of the evidence is pointing in the right direction.
Lindsey Morgan, pictured above, is best known for her role as Raven Reyes in the popular television series The 100. A fan favorite, the actress will supposedly be taking on the role of Batgirl in the standalone film, according to ScreenRant at least.
Lindsey Morgan recently tweeted that she had landed a major role and began retweeting several Batgirl-related articles shortly afterward. Definitely not a coincidence at this point but it is possible that the actress landed a role in the upcoming Gotham City Sirens film. Either way, we’re definitely excited for Batgirl to be released.
