Atari’s First Gaming Console in over 20 Years – What we Know So Far

After 20 years of hiatus, Atari CEO Fred Chesnais has confirmed that they will be entering the market again after 23 years since its last console, the Atari Jaguar.

“We’re back in the hardware business,” said Chesnais during last week’s E3 event.

A twenty-one second video released showing off the brand new Atari Console released as well, which can be seen below.

Currently nobody has been able to across and information yet about exactly which kind of system Atari are building, however it’s reported that it will be based on PC hardware. The video shows the classic Atari wooden finish, but considering how Chesnais admitted that the design hasn’t been finalized, there’s no guarantee as to what exactly the upcoming will look like. Nonetheless, fans worldwide are definitely anticipating the release of the well respect company’s new console.
