[dropcap size=small]H[/dropcap]ow would you like to set a world record and get the chance to be one of the first people to play Far Cry 4 at the same time?
One lucky(?) gamer from Provo, Utah got to do just that, as he set the Guinness World Record for “Highest Altitude Video Game Console Session” by playing Far Cry 4 in the Himalayan mountain range.
23-year old Will Cruz was selected as the winner of a nationwide contest by Ubisoft, and was shipped off to Nepal to participate in the expedition.
Cruz, a “hiking enthusiast,” traveled to Mt. Everest Base Camp where he then set out to the summit of Kala Patthar with a team of 15 people. The expedition team included Sherpas, a video crew, and a caravan of yaks that carried the TV, generator, and gaming equipment.
The hikers reached the peak on October 11, where Cruz played Far Cry 4 on the Playstation 4 for 79 minutes. There, at an elevation of 18,569 feet above sea level, Cruz was met with 25mph wind gusts, temperatures reaching below 17 degrees Fahrenheit, and reduced oxygen; hardly ideal gaming conditions.

Far Cry 4 will be available November 18 for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
