[dropcap size=small]B[/dropcap]ungie and Activision’s successful RPG/FPS ‘Destiny’ will receive its first of multiple DLC additions. This premier DLC will be entitled ‘The Dark Below’. Recently, Bungie Community and Marketing Relations Manager Eric Osbourne, was interviewed by PlayStation Blog and gave a full breakdown of all the new goodies to be included in the DLC:
We’re announcing that Destiny’s first expansion, The Dark Below, will be available on December 9th. Players who pick it up for download will be able to earn new weapons, armor, and gear, experience new story quests and missions, play new cooperative activities with their friends, and add three multiplayer Crucible arenas to their competitive rotation with Skyshock, Pantheon, and The Cauldron. In addition to new content, we’re also raising Player Light Level potential to 32, increasing Bounty slots from five to ten, and including some fun surprises for everyone who’s playing the game.
If that doesn’t sound like Christmas come early for Destiny players, I don’t know what does. Osbourne goes on to say a new character will be included in The Tower, Eris. She will be the source of new bounties and missions for players who acquire ‘The Dark Below’. He also mentions the addition of a Community Strike mission that will take place in the heart of The Black Garden, saying details and particulars about the strike will follow shortly.
Many players complain of Destiny feeling as though it’s not a finished game, will this DLC entice players to jump in and become legend? Let us know what you think in the comments!
