Catch a Glimpse of Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold in CW’s ‘The Flash’

After an extremely positive premier, CW's The Flash is off to a great start and planning to take things a step further with fresh new talent joining the show.

CW does not seem to be slowing down (no pun intended) in introducing some familiar faces from within the DC universe, including the up-and-coming first appearance of Captain Cold, played by Prison Break star Wentworth Miller.

Barry Allen/Flash actor, Grant Gustin took to social media to share some images of Wentworth portraying the villainous role, though Gustin was not the only one. Geoff Johns too shared an image via his Instagram account. Take a look at some of the photos below.

Hey, ladies. What’s cooler than being cool?

ICE COLD!

Though it may take a while for the series to get up to the episode that debuts Captain Cold, we are likely to see the character for at least a couple episodes, considering the importance the villain has within The Flash’s storyline. But that isn’t all. In next week’s episode of The Flash, we will get our first look at Multiplex, the villain who can…yes, split himself into multiple versions of himself.

Multiplex
Getting chores done is a snap for this guy.

Add that to a growing list of villains, we will also get a chance to see Plastique; whom we don’t know much about, though if her name is any indication, she is likely capable of injecting victims with copious amounts of Botox. If that was not enough, the two aforementioned villains actually have ties to the DC character Ronnie Raymond, better known as the superhero Firestorm, who is set to be played by Robbie Amell, cousin to Stephen Amell, who portrays Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on the CW show ‘Arrow’. Robbie must’ve taken a big sigh of relief upon getting that part after his show The Tomorrow People was cancelled after the network realized no one was watching. Literally.

In The Flash, Ronnie Raymond is connected to S.T.A.R. Labs via Caitlin Snow, when a freak accident grants them unique abilities, the latter of which becomes Killer Frost, another deadly ice villain. One would think Flash would be able to beat most of these guys with just a parka and a space heater.

If you are not a comic geek, most of this probably doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, though if you are, then you are just as excited as we are to see all of the characters unfold and create what is shaping up to be a fantastic DC televised universe.

The Flash airs at 8:00pm PST, Tuesdays on The CW Network.
