Earlier today, Jensen Ackles showed off our first official look at the Soldier Boy costume for his upcoming debut role Amazon’s The Boys. Season 3 can’t come soon enough and we are dying to see just how Ackles and Amazon translate this character to live-action.

Soldier Boy is said to be the first superhero and is a parody of Captain America. A patriot and icon, Soldier Boy has pretty much all the same powers and abilities as Steve Rogers, even more so with the use of a shield melee weapon.
In the comics, Soldier Boy is shown to be a coward who desperately wants to be a member of The Seven. He sucks up to heroes like Homelander, even committing mass murder in order to please him if it means he can be a member of the elite. In addition, Soldier Boys’ backstory is revealed to have been somewhat exaggerated but we won’t say any more than that for now.
Whether or not the character will mirror his comic counterpart or have some stark differences is yet to be confirmed. All we know is, we need more of The Boys and we need it soon. However, it seems we will have to wait until at least 2022 before we can jump back into the world of Vaught.
