Last week a trailer for the Xbox Series X showcased Master Chief being betrayed by some puppers. No doubt cute, although a tad bit odd, the latest trailer has now replaced Master Chief with Meowster Chief. Seriously.
Directed by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit) the trailer, called Lucid Odyssey, draws from YouTuber MoonLiteWolf’s dream to explain some really far out there concepts regarding the sci-fi-like nature of the trailer. Master Chief has the head of a cat and apparently he’s a DJ now. You can watch the trailer below.
This isn’t the last commercial featuring odd themes either. Microsoft claims there are more dreamlike trailers on the way featuring content creators, celebrities, and more.
