Six enhanced Xbox 360 games and 19 Original Xbox games will be playable on Xbone very soon.

Microsoft announced a number of classic Original Xbox and Xbox 360 games will be available on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility over the next couple weeks.

The Original Xbox games will be available in two waves. The first wave is on April 17 and includes the following games:

  • Blinx: The Time Sweeper
  • Breakdown
  • Conker: Live & Reloaded
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • Hunter: The Reckoning
  • Jade Empire
  • Panzer Dragoon Orta
  • SSX 3

The second wave is on April 26, with the following games available then:

  • Destroy All Humans!
  • Full Spectrum Warrior
  • Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
  • MX Unleashed
  • Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory
  • Star Wars Battlefront
  • Star Wars Battlefront II
  • Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
  • Star Wars Jedi Starfighter
  • Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
  • Star Wars Republic Commando

Additionally, Sonic Generations for Xbox 360 is now backwards compatible with Xbox One. It and five other stellar 360 games (Darksiders, Gears of War 2, Portal 2, Red Dead Redemption, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed) have also received Xbox One X Enhancement updates, which boost the resolution and performance of these games to match the 4K power of the X. These updates are available now for Xbox One X owners.

Every backwards compatible game on Xbox One gets a performance and resolution boost, so those Original Xbox games are going to actually very pretty on your HD or 4K TV.

To use backwards compatibility, you can buy these titles off the Microsoft Store once they are available OR you can simply insert them into your Xbox One and start going down memory lane.

We’re super excited to replay most of these Original Xbox games (shout out to Morrowind and Jade Empire), but holy crap, BOTH BATTLEFRONTS?!

If you’re like us, you spent countless hours capturing Command Posts on Bespin in Battlefront I, or chasing your buddy down as Jedi in Battlefront II‘s Hero Assault mode.

Sadly, online multiplayer will not work for Original Xbox titles, but getting to replay these games on modern consoles is enough nostalgia for us.

It’s upsetting Xbox doesn’t have many brand new games coming out in the near future, but they are absolutely nailing backwards compatibility. Take notes Sony, I’m going to go play Battlefront II. (The good one.)
