Joss Whedon Allegedly Cut Characters, Rewrote Much of Justice League

To be fair, this is probably a good thing.

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen Joss Whedon took over directorial duties for Justice League after Zack Snyder stepped down, it was expected that there would be changes made to the film. However, just how much change would come was always a mystery. With that said, news has broken from Forbes’ Mark Hughes that Joss Whedon made a lot of changes starting with “roughly two dozen pages” of rewrites.

“Scenes have been cut, and characters have been cut out of the film… things have been changed and things have been cut. So when you look at the totality of his involvement and his work and his impact on that script, yes, it’s fair to say probably a third of the script total when you add [cuts, reshoots, and new scenes].”

Just what characters have been cut out of the film and which scenes were removed is unknown at this time. As for how Zack Snyder feels about his film being rewritten he is more than likely not happy. Then again, Joss Whedon has had success with his previous films where as Zack Snyder’s have been not so great for lack of a better word.
