Has Marvel received the rights to Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four?
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might have taken a major leap forward depending on a photo that was tweeted by the Russo brothers. The photo was apparently taken behind the scenes for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film but was quickly deleted leaving many fans wondering if the Russo brothers gave away too much information or it was a mistake.
The photo above was taken in what looks to be a castle and many fans believe it could be Latveria. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the name, Latveria is the home of the one and only Doctor Doom.
Whether or not the photo that was taken actually is Latveria remains to be confirmed. Since the Russo brothers deleted the photo no one actually knows if it involves Doctor Doom/Latveria and several fans believe it could possibly be a photo taken of the Thor:Ragnarok set.
If it is a photo for Doctor Doom/Latveria this means that Marvel Studios has acquired the rights to the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom, who is a centerpiece to Thanos’ acquisition of the Infinity Gauntlet. As we all know, 20th Century Fox has an absolutely horrible record of producing decent films regarding Marvel’s Fantastic Four and this could mean that Marvel’s Phase Four plans have expanded to include an incredible amount of new material and superheroes.
With Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War due to hit theaters on May 4, 2018, there is plenty of time for more development on this possible outcome.
