Spider-sense isn’t tingling, so these six hopefully won’t be sinister.
[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]ovie contracts are good way to get some insight for potential future films, especially in regards to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These spark theories for potential films in the near future, with actors like Chris Evans (Captain America) only having one film left while Tom Hiddleston (Loki) has three films left.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the newest incarnation of Spider-Man, Tom Holland, revealed what his contract entails:
“They give you options, and those could be exercised whenever. Like a cameo in Avengers. I’m unclear as to which movies, though. I do know I have three Spider-Man movies and three solo movies contracted. But if you have another movie, Marvel is so good at working around it. They’re very respectful of your life, really. They understand that you have to work on other movies, and they try and fix it up so you can work around each other.” – Tom Holland
It seems that Marvel and Sony want to make a trilogy out of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and it’s safe to assume that “three solo movies” include his role in Captain America: Civil War. That means that Spider-Man can appear in two different films, maybe in Avengers: Infinity War! Only time will tell, but hopes are high for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which also stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and they’ve already shared great chemistry on screen.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be directed by Jon Watts (Clown, Cop Car). The film is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
