Good things come to those who wait, right?
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t really is sad that after Ryan Reynolds spent so many years doing everything he could to get Deadpool off the ground that the sequel to his accomplishments has been delayed. As reported by Collider, the sites’ sources claim that Miller had planned on beginning production for Deadpool 2 in March but that all went out of the window when Miller stepped down. So now that the film has no director when will Deadpool 2 go into production?
The answer to that question isn’t easy and surely won’t be answered for quite some time. With Ryan Reynolds busy searching for a director to take on the project and castings for the role of Domino still under way there is no way Deadpool 2 will begin filming in March. Don’t forget that it was teased at the end of Deadpool that Cable would be introduced and no one has announced who would be taking on that role either. Deadpool was a smashing hit and rushing into things with not the right director or actors for important roles would be disastorous for both Fox and Deadpool‘s storyline.
With sets still needed to be built, castings yet to be completed and no director to be found the release date for Deadpool 2 will certainly be pushed even further back. Best estimates for a release would be sometime in late spring or early summer. Until then we can only hope that the pieces begin to fall into place sooner rather than later.
