Destiny 2 Coming to PC, says Sources

A NeoGaf forum user shares inside details on the highly anticipated sequel to Bungie’s MMO FPS console title.

Kotaku is reporting that a user on the NeoGaf forums may have the lowdown on some interesting tidbits to Destiny 2. While these reports should be considered as rumors, there are multiple sources claiming similar details that support user benny_a and his posts on the forums from earlier today.

In the post, benny_a also mentions that a source at Activision, whom he claims to be close with, also revealed that Vicarious Visions, another Activision-owned studio, would be helping out with Destiny 2. From what we know, the sequel will be in the style of a completely new game and not a larger expansion like we saw in Destiny‘s year 2 DLC, The Taken King, or the much more recent release of the smaller Rise of Iron

Sources have been claiming that Destiny 2 will be hitting PC for nearly a year now, which shouldn’t be all that surprising considering the limitations of current consoles, and earlier-gen consoles, that of which were not included in the latest Rise of Iron expansion.

With no official word from Bungie at this time, most of these proposed theories and rumors should be considered as nothing more than that which they are. However, if what we are hearing is to be believed, then Destiny fans have plenty to look forward to in Destiny 2 with plans to create a much more livelier bunch of social spaces, towns, and outposts on planets. And although the FPS aspect of Destiny won’t likely be removed from any future sequels, these alleged sources claim that most of which you know about the franchise will not carry over to the sequel, which may or may not include your existing playable Guardians when the game release TBA 2017.
