It is rumored that Rise of Iron is set to replace Destiny 2‘s release date for this upcoming fall.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]hanks to a picture of a leaked marketing material that was posted to Reddit last night we now know that Destiny‘s next expansion is called Rise of Iron. The expansion is believed to be released sometime this upcoming September and Bungie will more than likely formally announce the expansion at this year’s E3. You can view the leaked photo below.
Thanks to Kotaku‘s sources that are close to Bungie, the poster appears to be authentic and they claim that the new expansion will offer a new raid that involves the “Fallen with a twist” and the expansion will be much larger than previous DLC installments.
Many fans believe that this expansion will somehow involve Lord Saladin who is the representative of the Iron Banner and the Guardian in the poster has an uncanny resemblance to him. The Iron Lords, which the Iron Banner honors, were a group of highly trained ancient warriors that defended the City when it first constructed. It seems likely that this expansion could somehow involve these (deceased?) Iron Lords, but for now the Rise of Iron expansion will continue to remain mostly shrouded in secrecy.
