Showtime’s newest show will comprise of a total of 217 actors, including a few that you may recognize!
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]howtime has created plenty of appealing shows for a variety of people to watch. These shows include Dexter, Penny Dreadful, and Homeland. Next year, Showtime will be introducing Twin Peaks to their Showtime audience.
This show will have a huge cast, including a few actors/actresses that you might recognize:
- Jim Belushi (Show Me a Hero)
- Michael Cera (Arrested Development)
- Jeremy Davies (Justified)
- Jay R. Ferguson (Mad Men)
- David Koechner (Anchorman)
- Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight)
- Matthew Lillard (The Bridge)
- Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs)
- Naomi Watts (Birdman)
The cast will also include Monica Belucci (Spectre) and Berenice Marlohe (Skyfall), two former Bond girls.
Twin Peaks will also feature musicians Eddie Vedder, Mariqueen Reznor and her husband Trent Reznor. Vedder is the lead musician for the band Pearl Jam and the Reznors were both in the band How to Destroy Angels.
Among the 217 actors that will be featured in this show, there will be 37 that were also in the original Twin Peaks show that aired from 1990-91 on ABC. The full cast list can be viewed here. The names with an asterisk next to it were featured in the original show.
The Twin Peaks sequel series is written and produced by David Lynch and Mark Frost, who created Twin Peaks. Showtime announced yesterday that the principal photography is complete since it began production in December 2015. Twin Peaks, which will debut in 2017, takes place 25 years after the original show.
