Can someone tell The Flash to run to the future and see when this movie will actually be released?
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]uperhero movies are getting released left and right. The same could not be said for Gambit, which has been delayed again by Fox due to multiple reasons, including star actor Channing Tatum thinking of potentially leaving.
Now, director Doug Liam has delayed the movie due to work on his latest project The Wall for Amazon Studios.
According to The Wrap, Liam plans to ‘knock out the modestly scaled project quickly this summer’ before returning to the Gambit project.
Along with this delay, scripting problems occurred with former script writer Rupert Wyatt before abruptly leaving the project due to conflict with others. Lea Seydoux, who was to co-star with Tatum, also left the movie. Gambit was originally set to release on October 7th of this year.
At this point, we have no idea if this movie is going to happen, let alone when it will be released. I am excited to see if this project turns out. I feel like an origin story for Gambit would be exciting to see. So Fox, pull yourselves together and get this done!
