Adamantium claws vs katanas? Who wouldn’t want to see that?!
[dropcap size=small]R[/dropcap]ight now, thanks to the excellent marketing strategy for the upcoming film Deadpool, everyone who is a fan of the merc with a mouth wants to see multiple spin-offs, especially if it were to involve everyone’s favorite mutant: Wolverine. Of course, the last time we saw Deadpool face off against Wolverine the fight itself was rather anti-climatic and a major let down. So, what are the chances?
According to Hugh Jackman, the chances of a Deadpool vs Wolverine film is fairly possible, but the chances of Hugh Jackman taking on a role in the film are relatively low.
“I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me. But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine].”
To be fair, it isn’t that surprising that Hugh Jackman would say that Twentieth Century Fox would have to find another actor to play the role of Wolverine. After all, Hugh Jackman’s last films as the unstoppable mutant is a yet to be confirmed role in X-Men: Apocalypse and his last standalone film if it ever makes it into production. While no one knows what Twentieth Century Fox plans on doing after Hugh Jackman bows out, you can be certain that they will eventually have another actor reprise the role eventually. The only question is when?
X-men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27th, 2016.
