Two real death scenes and two red herrings have apparently been filmed for the third Captain America flick.
Perhaps the most anticipated and speculated film of 2016 is Captain America: Civil War.
Marvel fans have been scouring the web for clues as to who will die in the upcoming MCU film, and a new rumor indicates that death scenes of four heroes were filmed, with two of these actually going to happen.
Comic Book Movie reports that death scenes for Captain America, Falcon, War Machine, and Scarlett Witch were filmed.
However, only two of these deaths will actually happen in the movie.
Apparently, Sam Wilson (Falcon), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (War Machine), both have scenes were they die, but these will not be in the movie, as they were filmed simply to throw off potential leaks.
In fact, Rhodey will instead sustain severe injuries (which is hinted at in the trailer), which will further causes the rift between Cap. and Iron Man.
So with two death scenes being false clues, this means that Steve Rogers and Wanda Maximoff won’t make it through the movie.
The report indicates that Scarlett Witch will die at the hands of the film’s true villain, Baron Zemo (played Daniel Brühl), which will cause Vision, who is in relationship with Maximoff in the comics, to fly off into space, setting up Avengers: Infinity War.
Finally, Captain America himself will apparently die at the very end of the film, opening up the potential for Bucky Barnes (Winter Solider) to take up the mantle.
We need to stress that all of this is just a rumor, and nothing has yet to be official confirmed in the least bit.
However, if Scarlett Witch AND the Captain do indeed die, we can’t help but think at least Rogers will be revived by the time the Avengers face Thanos in Infinity War Part II.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6.
