Xbox One backwards compatibility was announced during this year’s Microsoft press conference at E3.
The process works by inserting a 360 game into your Xbox One, which will cause the game to be downloaded onto your hard drive. Downloadable titles like Arcade games will automatically show up on your system. Game saves will also transfer via cloud storage.

While many of the most-requested titles that fans want to be backwards compatible like Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, are not included on this list, Xbox has confirmed that more games are coming in December, including a number of desired games like Halo: Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, and Skate 3.
The Xbox One will become backwards compatible starting November 12 through a firmware update.
What do you think of the list? We’re a little bummed that many of these are Arcade titles, but most are great none the less. Let us know below or on Twitter.
